Water & Sewer Rates
Listed below, you will find the City of Kandiyohi current water rates and policies. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office at [email protected] or (320)382-6110 and we will provide it for you.
If you would like to speak with the Public Works Supervisor or would like to report a water main leak, please call the (320) 905-9445.
Residential Water and Sewer Rates are as follows:
- Water Base Fee - $20.61 per month (flat rate)
- Sewer Base Fee - $40.78 per month (flat rate)
- Base Fees are per unit on residential apartments
- Water Usage - $8.41/1,000 gallons
- Sewer Usage - $16.83/1,000 gallons
Commercial Water and Sewer Rates are as follows:
- Water Base Fee - $51.54 per month (flat rate)
- Sewer Base Fee - $93.65 per month (flat rate)
- Water Usage - $8.41/1,000 gallons
- Sewer Usage - $17.51/1,000 gallons
Your sewer usage is based on your metered water consumption. Separate irrigation meters are available for purchase and once installed, you are only billed for water consumption on that meter.
Additional Fees are as follows:
- Sump Pump Fee - $30.00 per usage month November through April each year.
- Charged monthly to any residence that has the option to turn their sump pump into the sanitary sewer.
- Storm Sewer Connection Fee - $10.00
- Charged monthly to anyone with a water or sewer connection.
BABY WIPES, SANITARY WIPES, FACIAL WIPES, WET WIPES AND CLOROX WIPES CAN NOT BE FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET. EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY ARE FLUSHABLE!
THEY ARE CLOGGING OUR SANITARY SEWER LINES. PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE OF THESE TYPES OF ITEMS IN THE TOILET!
