PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU MAY EXPERIENCE A DROP IN WATER PRESSURE AS WELL AS SOME DISCOLORATION DURING THE PROCESS AND FOR A FEW DAYS AFTER.
The discoloration of the water is only temporary and does not indicate a problem with the water. Run water to clear you lines before using(especially before showering or starting laundry). Public Works will monitor the water quality before, during and after this process to ensure that the water remains safe to drink.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but semi-annual hydrant flushing is an important part of our system maintenance.
